One thing that really bugs me about MMO's is the grinding. At least make grinding feel like its not grinding make something interesting and fun. More story drivin I guess is what a MMO would need.

It would be nice if perhaps something you actully did affected the world in a real way....The Matrix Online kinda did this when they had NPC's coming in and interact with players and sometimes they would recuit you to do something to change the story in a way.

Agreed. I'm really interested to see how The Old Republic handles space combat. I would actually love to grind as a smuggler... trying to get away with taking a cargo across imperial space. It'd be cool if they give matching missions to different people, like this:

Player 1: Imperial Fighter Pilot
Mission: Patrol Sector AA-23
Description: Illegal cargo rumored to be transported through this sector at XX:XX PM by trusted source.

Player 2: Smuggler
Mission: Get cargo through sector AA-23 by XX:XX PM.

It becomes a game of cat and mouse, and maybe the two never even meet, maybe Player 1's equipment can't find the smuggler until he upgrades or whatever. Maybe Player 2's jammer malfunctions. Maybe there's a drawn out space battle wherein Player 1 has 3 minutes to disable Player 2's ship before Player 2 makes the jump to hyperspace. I'd play this until my teeth fell out.
