Not a new idea, but still seriously powerful. Amplifies the meaning, amplifies the irony of the city going to the lengths of doing *more* cleaning themselves just to wipe out the art . . . I wish that sludge had been analyzed for toxicity just to drive the point home.

I've seen the same thing using stencils and a pressure washer on dirty sidewalks and concrete.
